the weekly chase #14

On Tuesdays I link up my Weekly Chase goals with Mindy from Road Runner Girl. Below is a recap from how the goals from last week went over, and my new goals for this week.

Weekly goals for June 30–July 6; recap

Goal #1 - Continue to log all of my calories in My Fitness Pal.
90% this week. Better than last week, but still have some work to do.

Goal #2 - Finish up the Runner's World Summer Run Streak on Independence Day – 40 consecutive days of running! I've loved how motivated the streak has kept me, but I'm looking forward to having some real, solid rest days (slash cross training days that don't include any running).
Finished! I can not believe I ran for 40 consecutive days. It's amazing what you accomplish if you set your mind to it :)

Goal #3 - Drink at least 48 oz of water/day.
Check.

Goal #4 - Hit goal of 10,000 steps/day via Fitbit (feel free to go to my contact page for the link to add me as a friend).
Oy. I just missed on Monday, Wednesday, AND Saturday. I need to get my act together! I find it hard to hit my steps when I'm busy at work and only run 1 mile. I need to figure out a better game plan.

Goal #5 - Start Dopey training!
Done! Tuesday marked Day 1. I am excited to begin this new challenge.

Goal #6 - Buy a swim cap, goggles, and one piece swim suit so I can start swimming on my cross train days. Any recommendations? I don't need anything too fancy or expensive.
Check! Now I just need to sign up for the gym.

Weekly goals for July 7–13

Goal #1 - Continue to log all of my calories in My Fitness Paland either hit or stay under calorie goals. I'd like to lost 2 pounds by the end of the month (starting with a small goal – I don't need to lose much weight, but think 5 would be great... gain muscle by toning and get rid of the fat).

Goal #2 - Sign up for the gym and go swimming at least once.

Goal #3 - Drink at least 48 oz of water/day.

Goal #4 - Hit goal of 10,000 steps/day via Fitbit (feel free to go to my contact page for the link to add me as a friend).

Goal #5 - Continue Dopey training.

Goal #6 – Eat healthier. I've been doing pretty good with adding salads and fruit to my daily meal routine, but got a bit off track over the holiday weekend. This will also help with goal #1.
