friday five: favorite fitness tunes

Happy Friday, my friends! Per usual, I am linking up with the lovely ladies of DC: Courtney at Eat Pray Run DCCynthia at You Signed up for What?, and Mar at Mar on the Run, as I do every Friday. This week's theme is "Five Favorite Fitness Tunes". I recently wrote a similar post here, but I'm always updating my playlist, so here's a few more favorites:

1. Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

2. It Was Always You - Maroon 5

3. Wake Me Up - Avicii

4. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

5. All I Do Is Win - DJ Khaled

I will admit my running playlist is MUCH different than my everyday playlist. I usually listen to Indie Folk/Rock, but love the more upbeat, pop music for running. Most Indie music is a bit more laid back, so not great for when I'm running and need a boost from the music.

What are some of your favorite fitness tunes? I'm always looking to add to my playlist :)

Thanks to CourtneyCynthia, and Mar for hosting! Make sure to check out their "Friday Five" posts (direct links above in first paragraph) and link up if you are joining in on the fun (and if you aren't – how come?!). Don't forget to read/comment on some of the other link ups :)

Also, in case you missed it, here are my posts from the week and some of my more popular posts:

Have a great weekend, everyone! Hope it's wonderful :)

  1. Shake it off seem to be popular on the Friday Five. All I do is Win has been on my list for a while for running. Its a good fit.

    1. 'All I Do Is Win' really pumps me up. The term 'win' may be loosely used in my racing career, as just finishing means winning in my book :)

  2. Haha, I was just gonna say the same thing about "shake it off"! I love some Maroon 5 but I don't think I know that song ( or I just don't know the name of it).

    1. I hadn't heard of it until someone listed it as one of their top 5 songs in a #bibchat a few weeks back, so I added it in.

  3. Haha, I listen to pretty much only country, but my workout playlist has a lot of rap. I like to feel hardcore when I run. I also have to have songs that I don't want to sing along to otherwise my fellow gym members get an impromptu concert :-)
